Motivational Healthy PregnancyFrom Stacey LevendorfI think I'm becoming more nervous the more I read. I am 36y.o with my first pregnancy (12+weeks). I have been a road and trail runner and mountain bike racer for SEVERAL years. When I found out I was pregnant I stopped mountain biking but have continued to run. I have cut my runs back in time (before I was running 1 1/2 to 2 hours) to now I run around 60 minutes or less but my intensity stays about the same. I do not push myself but when climbing I definitely become short of breath and slow my pace. On flat terrain I'm great, feeling better than ever. This is really no different than before I was pregnant. Perhaps your articles are geared toward those who are inexperienced and unknowledgeable re: any exercise? My inexperience comes with being pregnant and I have so much anxiety the more I read. My anxiety leads to paranoia and negative thoughts and then I'm in turmoil thinking this negative ness is affecting my fetus!!!! Ugh! What I need is reassurance. I eat well (with added sweets. I have always been an addict but now I am more aware) LOTS of fruit and veggies, fish and chicken. Anyway my next appt with my midwife is not for another week or so and perhaps I just needed to get this off my chest? I enjoy your articles and am glad I purchased the book. The book is motivational to be healthy and that it IS possible to have a wonderful healthy pregnancy. 0 Comments:
